01

From control network to information layer

Data collection and information layers are separated without exposing PLC networks directly to the internet. Access models, permissions and connection methods are defined with the plant’s existing security. Viewing data and issuing remote commands are separate privileges.

02

Data freshness and alarm review

Screens should show the last measurement time and communication status. Stale readings must not appear current after a disconnection. Alarm lists, trends and reports follow operational priorities.

  • Web and mobile monitoring interfaces
  • Permission-controlled plant/device visibility
  • Trends, alarms and production reports
  • Disconnection and reconnection scenarios
03

Additional boundaries for remote control

Where remote control is required, local operator priority, command confirmation, access duration and audit requirements are agreed separately. VPN or equivalent protected connectivity, maintenance access and continuity are assessed per plant.
