Scope of the tools used
SOPON websites do not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. They load no third-party fonts, embedded maps or advertising code. Language preferences use the sopon.language key in browser localStorage rather than a cookie; this notice also explains that device-storage mechanism. Visiting the website is not treated as blanket consent to cookies or marketing.
Language preference: purpose and duration
When you deliberately choose a language or dismiss the language suggestion, a preference record containing the choice and expiry time is stored in this domain’s localStorage. It remembers your choice and avoids repeating the suggestion. The application treats it as expired after 30 days and clears it when next accessed; clearing browser data removes it earlier. It contains no name, email or IP and is not shared between the two SOPON domains. Browser language is considered only to suggest a language; there is no geolocation or forced redirect, including for a saved preference. An explicitly opened language URL keeps its own language.
Temporary form security
A form verification token is held in the page and temporary server memory and is usable for 15 minutes. A digest of the IP address is assessed in temporary server memory for submission limits. These mechanisms do not create advertising profiles or track across websites. No separate message database or form-message log is kept; successfully delivered enquiries are in the business mailbox. Ordinary server access logging is distinct from cookies and localStorage.
Resetting preferences and external services
The language-preference reset button in the footer removes this domain’s preference record. You can also clear site data in your browser. If localStorage is blocked, pages and language links remain available, but the choice may not be remembered on your next visit. No embedded Google Maps request is made before you open the external map link; external storage tools are governed by that service’s policy.
